A Book Worth Reading: Testimonies from Heaven’s Edge

I have always loved to read a book worth reading. Good books can sharpen our thinking, bring encouragement, and sometimes give words to things we have sensed but could not yet express. Over the years, I have found that good Christian books (the Bible is my #1 choice ✝️), in particular, nourish my spirit and soul. They remind me of what is true, lift my eyes beyond the present moment, and strengthen my faith. When I come across a book like that, one that’s worth reading, it feels right to share it with others.

Recently, some of my writing was included in Routed to Heaven: Near‑Death Experiences and Heavenly Testimonies, compiled by Julie Bonn Blank. Julie herself carries a remarkable testimony of having stood in heaven and returned with a renewed sense of purpose and clarity. Her life, and now this book, reflect a deep conviction that eternity is not abstract, but real, and not only part of our future, but present with us even now. This is a book worth reading, not because I’ve been included (it’s only a small part of a bigger picture) but because the content causes the reader to think beyond what we face in the here-and-now.

Throughout Scripture, God entrusts people with moments they are meant to remember and, in time, to recount. Not to elevate themselves, but to bear witness to His faithfulness. There are things the Lord allows us to see, walk through, and understand that are not meant to remain private forever. They become part of our testimony.

Contributing to this book was one of those moments for me.

It reminded me that our lives are not random. God is directing, allowing, and working in ways we often only recognize in hindsight. What feels ordinary today may one day stand as evidence of His hand.

My hope is not that my story would draw attention to me, but that it would quietly point to Him and His nearness, His purpose, and the reality that eternity is closer than we think.

We live in the present, but we belong to something beyond it. And sometimes, God allows us to glimpse that truth in ways we never expected.
